Two individuals, including a woman and a 10-year-old boy, tragically lost their lives due to lightning strikes in Saharsa district. The incidents occurred in different police station areas of the district while they were engaged in their daily activities.

In the first incident, a woman was working in a field when the weather suddenly changed, and a powerful lightning bolt struck. She had no time to react and collapsed on the spot. Despite immediate efforts by locals to rush her to the hospital, she was declared dead upon arrival. This incident highlights the severe danger posed by lightning during the monsoon season.

In the second incident, a 10-year-old boy also became a victim of a lightning strike. He was reportedly near a field or in an open area when lightning struck him. Locals reported a loud thunderclap followed by the boy's severe injury. He was also rushed for medical aid but could not be saved. These tragic events have cast a pall of grief over the region, leaving residents in shock.

Authorities have emphasized the need for awareness campaigns to prevent lightning-related fatalities.
