A serious collision between two trucks occurred on the Maheshi Bypass in Saharsa district on Monday night. The co-driver of one of the trucks sustained severe injuries in the accident. According to reports, one truck was en route from West Bengal to Danapur, while the other was coming from the opposite direction. The head-on collision on the Maheshi Bypass resulted in significant damage to the front of one of the trucks.

The impact was so severe that the co-driver was trapped in the wreckage and required considerable effort to be extricated. With the help of local residents and the police, the injured co-driver was rescued and immediately transported to a nearby hospital. His condition is reported to be critical, and he may be referred for advanced treatment.

Traffic on the bypass was disrupted for some time following the accident. Police arrived at the scene to manage the situation and initiate the process of removing the damaged vehicles.
