The weather in Mahishi block of Saharsa district took an abrupt turn on Thursday afternoon, bringing much-needed relief to residents who had been struggling with several days of intense heat and humidity. The afternoon saw light to moderate rainfall accompanied by strong, cool winds, making the weather pleasant.

Locals had been suffering due to continuously rising temperatures and sticky humidity, but the rain brought a significant drop in temperature. However, some rural areas also reported waterlogging issues following the downpour.

The rain has proven beneficial for farmers. The increased moisture in the fields creates favorable conditions for paddy transplantation and the cultivation of other Kharif crops. It is expected to boost agricultural activities and improve crop yields.
