Darbhanga: Maithili Thakur, MLA from Alinagar assembly constituency in Darbhanga district, Bihar, has welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision to constitute fast track courts for paper leak cases. She stated that this is a historic step towards protecting the future of crores of young people. Thakur emphasized that those who play with the hard work and dreams of the youth will now face swift and strict punishment.

Her welcome comes amidst ongoing protests by the CJP in Delhi and Sonam Wangchuk's hunger strike in support of the NEET paper leak case. Students in Darbhanga also staged a protest in solidarity, which led to a police lathi-charge, injuring several police personnel.

Prime Minister Modi had announced on 'X' (formerly Twitter) that the interests and future of the country's youth are the government's top priority. He stated that fast track courts would be formed to ensure swift and strict punishment for culprits in all paper leak cases and for their speedy disposal. Instructions have been issued to the concerned departments to ensure necessary action.

Maithili Thakur supported PM Modi's post, calling it a significant step towards safeguarding students' interests. She affirmed that no one who jeopardizes the future of the youth will be spared. Several other leaders, including Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, BJP National President Nitin Nabin, and LJP (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan, have also supported the Prime Minister's decision.
