In Bagaha, West Champaran, a young man attempted suicide by cutting his wrist following a domestic dispute. The incident occurred on Sunday in the Kailash Nagar locality, under the Patkhauli police station area. Afzal Ansari, a 25-year-old resident of Kailash Nagar, used a piece of glass to cut his right wrist after an argument with his wife. This self-harm attempt resulted in severe blood loss, leaving him in a critical condition.

Upon learning of the incident, Afzal's friends immediately rushed him to the Bagaha Sub-Divisional Hospital. There, surgeon Dr. Vijay Kumar and the medical staff promptly began treatment. After approximately two hours of plastic surgery, the medical team successfully saved the young man's life.

Dr. Vijay Kumar stated that due to the excessive blood loss, the patient's condition was extremely critical. He added that had there been any delay in reaching the hospital or if he needed to be referred to another facility, his life would have been in danger. Thanks to timely treatment and successful surgery, the patient is now out of danger.
