In a tragic incident in Sursand Nagar Panchayat, Ward No. 16, Mai Asthan, Sitamarhi district, a 30-year-old man, Sonu Raut, died after falling from the roof of his house. Sonu Raut, son of Vijay Raut, was sleeping on the roof. The incident occurred last night when he lost his balance while descending from the roof to go to the toilet and fell into a neighbor's courtyard.

The sound of his fall was so faint that the neighbor did not hear it. The next morning, the neighbor found Sonu Raut covered in blood in their courtyard and immediately raised an alarm. Family members and neighbors rushed to the scene. Sonu was immediately taken to a private clinic, where Dr. Lalu Kumar declared him dead.

Dr. Kumar stated that Sonu Raut had died on the spot due to the fall. By the time he was brought to the hospital, it was too late, and saving him was not possible. Following this heartbreaking incident, the family members performed the last rites of the deceased. The incident has cast a pall of grief over the area.
