Police in Masaurhi, Patna, have made a significant bust in their ongoing campaign against drug trafficking, seizing 14.2 kilograms of ganja. Acting on a confidential tip-off, Masaurhi police initiated a vehicle and suspect check near Kharath Mod.

During the operation, officers stopped a young man and conducted a search, discovering 14.2 kg of ganja hidden in his bag. The arrested individual has been identified as Raju Thakur. Preliminary interrogation revealed that Thakur had traveled from Patna to Masaurhi and was en route to Dudhichak. Police immediately confiscated the illicit substance and apprehended the suspect on the spot.

Masaurhi Police Station officials stated that an FIR has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the NDPS Act. Raju Thakur is currently undergoing intensive questioning to ascertain the origin of the ganja and its intended recipients. Authorities are also investigating whether an organized gang is involved in this trafficking operation. Officials believe that the interrogation will help uncover other individuals connected to the drug trafficking network. The seized ganja is being processed for presentation in court. Police officials have affirmed their commitment to continuing the anti-drug trafficking campaign in the district, vowing that no one involved in this illegal trade will be spared.
