The upcoming PACS (Primary Agricultural Credit Society) election in Mayar, Rohtas district, Bihar, has been postponed indefinitely due to ongoing delimitation. Following this postponement, the nomination process for the election has also been halted with immediate effect. This information was released by the Cooperative Officer of Rohtas district through an official notification.

The Cooperative Officer stated that this decision was made in light of instructions received from the State Election Authority, Patna. The directive clarified that a final decision regarding the delimitation of PACS has not yet been made. Until the delimitation process is completed and a final order is issued in this regard, all election-related activities for the Mayar PACS will remain suspended.

This postponement has caused disappointment among candidates who were preparing to contest the elections and had participated in the nomination process. PACS elections are crucial at the local level for farmers and those involved in cooperative activities, as they directly impact agricultural loans, distribution of fertilizers and seeds, and other cooperative functions.

Officials have clarified that as soon as the delimitation process is completed and new instructions are received from the State Election Authority, new dates for the Mayar PACS election will be announced. Until then, all concerned parties have been advised to maintain patience and await further orders.
