A five-member delegation from the Bihar State Construction Workers Union visited Minapur block in Muzaffarpur on Friday. Led by General Secretary Baidyanath Pandit, the team met with the families of deceased laborers Mohammad Hashim Ansari and Jahangir Ansari from Rampur Sahay Chhapra and Musachak villages, offering their condolences. The two workers reportedly died due to the alleged negligence of house owner Munna Kumar Gupta near Sikandarpur Kali Mandir.

The union criticized the state government's 'anti-labor policies,' stating that the lack of worker registration at the panchayat level deprives accident victims of government benefits and allows those responsible for such incidents to evade punishment. The delegation demanded that the state government immediately implement a system for worker registration at the panchayat level to ensure laborers receive their due rights. They also urged the administration to provide financial compensation to the bereaved families and ensure strict punishment for the negligent house owner. The delegation included State Vice President Naresh Ram, District Secretary Shivbalak Kumar, District Vice President Ramsewak Paswan, and District Committee member Umakant Kumar.
