Purnia/Dhamdaha. A grand event was organized by the Public Ravan Dahan Committee at Nehru Chowk in Dhamdaha on the occasion of Vijayadashami. Bihar Building Construction Minister Leshi Singh attended as the chief guest. In her address, she stated that Dussehra conveys the message of the victory of truth over falsehood, righteousness over unrighteousness, and good over evil. She emphasized that the festival inspires people to follow the path of dignity, truth, and virtue.

Minister Singh reiterated that righteousness always triumphs over unrighteousness, truth over falsehood, and dignity over arrogance. She described the life of Lord Rama as an eternal inspiration for truth, dharma, dignity, and Sanatan values. She also extended her best wishes to all residents of the state on Vijayadashami.

During the program, members of the Public Ravan Dahan Committee, including President Manish Kumar Singh, Vice Presidents Shambhu Sharma, Rajiv Kumar, Hare Ram, and patron Tiwari Baba, welcomed Minister Leshi Singh with bouquets and garlands. Following this, Minister Singh herself shot an arrow to ignite the effigies of Ravan, Kumbhakarna, and Meghnad. As the effigies burned, the entire ground resonated with chants of 'Jai Shri Ram,' and a great sense of enthusiasm was observed among the attendees.

Thousands of men, women, and children gathered at the ground behind the Kosi Project near Nehru Chowk to witness the Ravan Dahan. People enthusiastically participated in the Vijayadashami celebration. The organizing committee had made special arrangements for the event. Given the large crowd, the fair committee and administration ensured robust security and law and order. The event concluded peacefully, marking a joyful end to the Vijayadashami festivities in Dhamdaha with the burning of the effigies.
