Under an ongoing campaign against electricity theft in Mohiuddinagar, Samastipur, a team from the Mohiuddinagar Electricity Supply Division conducted a raid in Madudabad Panchayat. During the operation, three consumers were caught red-handed stealing electricity by bypassing their meters. The electricity department has estimated a total revenue loss of ₹1,75,821 to North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited in these three cases.

Junior Electrical Engineer Harishchandra Kumar Mukhia stated that revenue losses were assessed at ₹68,805 for Vakil Sahni, ₹36,590 for Virendra Sahni, and ₹70,426 for Ravindra Sahni, all residents of Ward No. 13 in Madudabad Panchayat. Cases of electricity theft have been registered against all three consumers at the concerned police station. During the raid, the departmental team immediately disconnected their power connections and seized the PVC wires used for the theft.

The action was carried out under the direction of the Electrical Executive Engineer, STF Samastipur. The raiding team included Electrical Executive Engineer STF Madan Kumar, Assistant Electrical Engineer Mohiuddinagar Rajendra Pratap Singh, Junior Electrical Engineers Harishchandra Kumar Mukhia and Santosh Kumar, Junior Tableman Sonu Kumar Rajak, and human resources Tribhuvan Kumar Rai. The electricity department has clarified that this campaign against power theft will continue, and strict action will be taken against offenders.
