Approximately 15 to 16 wards within the Mokama Nagar Parishad area in Patna district have been grappling with a severe water crisis for the past five days. The water supply has completely halted due to a faulty motor at the water tank located in Ward No. 11. Residents of affected wards, including 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16, are struggling to find even a drop of water.

Local residents are forced to fetch water from distant handpumps and private borewells for daily activities such as cooking, bathing, and washing clothes. This drought-like situation has sparked widespread anger among the villagers. Pump operator Manish Kumar stated that the motor is defective and efforts are underway to repair it as soon as possible.

However, villagers have raised serious questions about the functioning of the Nagar Parishad. They question why the motor has not been repaired despite being out of order for five days. They also ask why no alternative arrangements or water tankers have been provided for such a large area. Local residents allege that the Nagar Parishad only makes grand claims but fails to deliver on the ground. People are demanding immediate repair of the motor and restoration of the water supply to alleviate this severe water crisis.
