A shocking incident unfolded at Danapur Sub-Divisional Hospital on Thursday when a mother abandoned her eight to ten-day-old newborn baby on a slab outside the hospital's medicine distribution center. The infant cried there for some time until a cleaner noticed her. Hospital staff, finding the baby alone, immediately informed the Sub-Divisional Hospital's DS.

Hospital personnel searched the premises for the baby's mother but could not find her. Following this, the DS asked sanitation supervisor Swati Devi to care for the child. Swati Devi picked up the baby and fed her milk, after which the infant calmed down. The hospital administration informed the police, and Danapur police arrived to begin their investigation.

During the investigation, an elderly woman and a young woman arrived at the hospital in the evening. The elderly woman told the police that the baby was her granddaughter and the young woman was the baby's mother, Neetu Devi. They stated that they are residents of Brahmachari village in the Maner police station area. Neetu Devi informed the police that she had given birth to the baby on September 5 at a hospital in the Maner police station area and that she had abandoned the child out of fear of her husband.

Police are now conducting a thorough investigation into the matter. It is a subject of investigation whether the baby is indeed Neetu's or if there is another truth hidden in this case.
