A tragic road accident on NH-28 in Motihari district resulted in the death of a motorcyclist and injuries to five others. The incident occurred near Chandi Mai Sthan in the Chhatauni police station area, where a head-on collision between two trucks involved a motorcycle and a Scorpio.

The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Aftab Alam, a resident of Katwa in the Banjariya police station area. The five injured individuals have been admitted to various hospitals, with some reportedly in serious condition.

Outraged by the death, the victim's family members and local villagers blocked NH-28 for approximately two and a half hours, placing the body on the road. Upon receiving information about the blockade, the police and Sadar SDO Arun Kumar arrived at the scene. They pacified the family, assured them of appropriate action, and subsequently cleared the jam. The police then sent the body to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination. The police are investigating the matter.
