An Instagram-born love story in Motihari has reached its matrimonial conclusion. Aarti from Hindri Bazaar and Deva Das from Chhatauni, after a two-year courtship, tied the knot in a temple, thanks to the initiative of their community members. This unique wedding took place despite initial resistance from both families.

The couple met on Instagram approximately two years ago. Their initial conversations blossomed into friendship, then love, leading to secret meetings. When their families discovered the relationship, they disapproved, and the matter even escalated to the police, who counseled the couple and returned them to their parents. However, the couple continued to meet discreetly.

Upon learning of their persistent meetings, local residents decided to intervene. They convened both families, discussed the situation, and collectively agreed to arrange Aarti and Deva's marriage. A temple wedding was organized, complete with a priest who performed the rituals. Deva applied vermillion to Aarti's forehead, symbolizing their union.

Post-wedding, Aarti expressed her joy, noting that despite initial family disapproval, the marriage proceeded with everyone's eventual consent. Social worker Sanjeet Kumar alias Munna stated that the community's decision was aimed at resolving the conflict and guiding the couple towards a proper path. This wedding stands as a unique example of local community wisdom and cooperation.
