A tragic road accident occurred near Kaunra Mathia village under the Jagdishpur police station area in Bhojpur district. In this accident, a young motorcyclist died on the spot, while another person was seriously injured. The incident reportedly took place on Sunday late evening.

According to information, the deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Golu Kumar, a resident of Harpur village under Charpokhari police station. The injured person has been identified as 28-year-old Ranjan Kumar, who is reportedly a relative of Golu Kumar. Both were riding on the same motorcycle when it lost control and crashed near Kaunra Mathia village.

Local residents stated that the collision was so severe that Golu Kumar succumbed to his injuries on the spot. Ranjan Kumar sustained serious injuries. Upon receiving information about the incident, Jagdishpur police reached the spot, took the body into custody, and sent it to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination. The injured Ranjan Kumar has also been admitted to the hospital for treatment, where his condition remains stable.

Police stated that the cause of the accident is being investigated. Prima facie, it appears that the motorcycle lost control due to high speed or an obstruction on the road. The police have informed the deceased's family, and further action will be taken after their arrival. A pall of gloom has descended upon Harpur village following this incident.
