Roads in the Bhajania, Asiknagar, and Kardanda Gram Panchayat areas of Mohammadganj block are in a dilapidated condition. During the monsoon, these roads turn into muddy quagmires, making it difficult even to walk. Large potholes have formed, and waterlogging and mud at various spots are causing immense problems for schoolchildren, the elderly, patients, and daily commuters.

Villagers report that due to the poor road conditions, ambulances cannot reach Kardanda village. This makes it extremely challenging to transport patients to the hospital in emergencies. Residents had previously lodged a complaint regarding road construction during the Deputy Commissioner's public grievance day. The Deputy Commissioner's office had issued directives for action in the matter. However, despite nearly two months passing, no concrete steps have been taken by the concerned department, leading to growing resentment among the villagers.

An application was submitted by villagers on June 17 at the Deputy Commissioner's public grievance day. Following this, the Deputy Commissioner's office, via letter number 1285 dated June 18, instructed the BDO of Mohammadganj to take action and submit a report. Villagers allege that despite the DC's instructions, neither the road construction process has commenced nor has any progress report on the action taken been provided. The road conditions have worsened significantly during the rainy season. Locals have now appealed to the Sub-Divisional Officer, Hussainabad, to intervene, demanding action against the responsible officials and the immediate commencement of road construction.
