Husband Evicts Wife After Getting Government Job, Case Reaches Police Station
Munger: A distressing case has emerged where a husband allegedly evicted his wife from their home after securing a government job on compassionate grounds. The victim, Dimple Kumari, has filed a complaint at the Kotwali police station.
The incident reportedly occurred in the Ghasiyar Mohalla area, falling under the jurisdiction of Kotwali police station. Dimple Kumari informed the police that she married Suman Yadav in 2016. She claims that she had been subjected to harassment since their marriage. Recently, Suman Yadav obtained a job in the electricity department on compassionate grounds. Dimple alleges that following this, her husband outright refused to keep her with him and expelled her from their home.
On Sunday, Dimple Kumari approached the Kotwali police station to register her complaint. She stated that community members from both sides had even convened a 'panchayat' (local council) to resolve the dispute, but her husband remained unwilling to take her back. Left with no other option, she sought help from the police. The woman has accused her husband of harassment and eviction, demanding appropriate action.
Kotwali Station House Officer (SHO) Rajiv Kumar Tiwari confirmed the receipt of the woman's application. He stated that a case would be registered, and further action would be taken after a thorough investigation of the application. The true facts of the matter are expected to become clear only after the police inquiry.
