Arrah: A grand protest will be organized today in front of the Arrah Collectorate, demanding rights, dignity, and development for the Musahar community. The demonstration, led by the Mata Shabri Sangharsh Samiti, is expected to draw a large number of participants from various villages across the district.

In preparation for the protest, youth volunteers from the committee conducted public outreach campaigns in several villages and localities, including Arrah and Udwantnagar. They met with residents, listened to their problems, and urged them to participate in large numbers.

The committee's key demands include ensuring basic facilities like education, housing, roads, and health services in Musahar settlements, providing access to all government schemes, allocating land to landless families, assisting with caste certificate applications, and ensuring that the benefits of government welfare programs reach all needy families.

Shujauddin Ram, the convenor of the committee, stated that the Musahar community still lacks many basic amenities. He emphasized that the protest aims to bring the community's issues to the attention of the government and administration through democratic means. Women, youth, and the elderly are all expected to participate actively in the event.
