The 139th birth anniversary fortnight of Bihar Kesari Dr. Srikrishna Singh, the architect of modern Bihar and its first Chief Minister, was celebrated with grandeur on Sunday at a resort located at Saraiya Moti Chowk in Muzaffarpur. The event, organized under the leadership of social worker Gaurav Singh, commenced with the lighting of lamps by esteemed guests including Kisan Chachi Padma Shri Rajkumari Devi, Kanti MLA Ajit Kumar, former MLA Annu Shukla, former MLC candidate Rashmi Gautam, District Councilor Bipin Shahi, RJD leader Dheeraj Shukla, and social worker Rupesh Kumar Singh.

During the celebration, a strong demand was raised to confer the Bharat Ratna on Dr. Srikrishna Singh. Kanti MLA Ajit Kumar highlighted Shri Babu's personality and contributions, stating that as Bihar's first Chief Minister, he set a benchmark for the state's development. He consistently strived for the upliftment of all sections of society, particularly the Dalit community. The MLA urged the central government to honor him with the Bharat Ratna in recognition of his invaluable contributions.

Former MLA Annu Shukla also praised Shri Babu's work, emphasizing that he worked for all communities, transcending caste barriers. His courageous decision to abolish zamindari was cited as a prime example. Presiding over the event, Gaurav Singh stated that for Bihar to progress again, contemporary politicians should emulate Shri Babu's ideals and policies.

The ceremony was attended by hundreds of people, including retired DSP Sonelal Singh, Mukhiya Sunil Sharma, Vikas Shahi, Randhir Shahi, Saroj Chaudhary, Kameshwar Shukla, District Councilor representative Rehmatullah Rain, and Ranjana Kumari. The program was successfully conducted by Ankit Kumar.
