A shocking incident has emerged from Mujahidpur village, under Islampur police station in Nalanda district, where a four-year-old boy was allegedly strangled to death. The deceased has been identified as Ayush Kumar, son of Nitilal Kewat, a resident of the village. The entire area is gripped by sorrow, and the family is in deep distress.

The victim's mother, Rani Devi, stated that around 2 PM on Friday, the accused entered their house. She alleged that he locked the door from inside and strangled young Ayush. Ayush's six-year-old sister, Rishika, a witness to the incident, screamed to her mother that her uncle had taken Ayush inside and covered his mouth. When the mother rushed to the scene upon hearing her daughter's cries, the accused opened the door, threatened her, and fled.

The family rushed the child, who was in critical condition, first to Ekangarsarai and then to Pawapuri Medical College, but doctors declared him dead. According to Rani Devi, there was no prior dispute with the accused. She mentioned that the accused was having marital problems, and his wife had left him about a week ago. The mother alleges that other women in the accused's family instigated him, leading to the crime. Family members stated that the accused worked as a fish seller in Gaya and had come to the village specifically to commit this act. Ayush's father, who works in Ludhiana, is returning to the village after hearing the news of his son's death. Ayush was the second of four children.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Islampur Station House Officer Ranvijay Kumar arrived at the scene with police personnel. The police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem examination to Biharsharif Model Hospital. SHO Kumar stated that the woman has accused her brother-in-law of strangling her son. An FIR will be registered upon receiving a formal complaint, and further action will be taken. The police are seriously investigating the matter, and raids are underway to apprehend the accused.
