A tragic incident has occurred in Naugachhia, Bhagalpur district, where a young child died due to a snakebite. The incident took place in Harnathpur village, under the Gopalpur police station area of Naugachhia. The deceased child has been identified as 5-year-old Aryan Kumar, son of Tun Tun Mandal, a resident of Harnathpur.

According to available information, Aryan was playing outside his home on Wednesday evening. While playing, he wandered towards a maize field located near his house. It was there that a venomous snake, hidden in the field, bit him. Aryan screamed in pain immediately after the bite, alerting his family members who rushed to the spot.

Upon realizing that Aryan had been bitten by a snake, his family members quickly took him towards Naugachhia Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment. However, Aryan's condition deteriorated rapidly on the way, and he succumbed to the snakebite before reaching the hospital. Doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead, plunging the family into deep grief.

The entire village is in mourning following this unfortunate event. The family is devastated. This incident once again highlights the serious issue of snakebite deaths in rural areas, particularly among children, where immediate medical attention is often not readily accessible. Locals have urged the administration to raise awareness and ensure prompt medical facilities are available to prevent such tragedies.
