Nawada district police have taken significant action against illegal sand mining, seizing seven tractors and two motorcycles in a recent operation. The police received confidential information about widespread illegal sand mining and transportation in various parts of the district, leading to substantial revenue loss for the government and environmental damage.

Following the intelligence, police teams conducted surprise raids, apprehending seven sand-laden tractors on the spot. These tractors were being used for the illicit extraction and transportation of sand. Additionally, two motorcycles were confiscated, suspected of being used by the sand mafia for surveillance or other related activities.

Police officials stated that this operation aims to curb illegal mining.
