Police have arrested Satyendra Chaudhary, a named accused, in connection with an assault case in Sahibganj village, Akbarpur police station area, Nawada district. Satyendra Chaudhary is identified as the son of Banwari Chaudhary, a resident of Sahibganj. He was apprehended by the police on Friday and presented before the court. Akbarpur Station House Officer (SHO) Surendra Kumar stated that FIR No. 460/26 was registered at Akbarpur police station based on an application filed by Geeta Devi regarding this incident. Action has been initiated under the relevant sections of the BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita).

In her complaint, Geeta Devi alleged that on the evening of September 14, around 5 PM, she was returning home with her cattle. During this time, Vishwajeet Chaudhary verbally abused and physically assaulted her. When she fell to the ground, her son, Sagar Kumar, arrived, escalating the dispute. It is further alleged that during this altercation, Satyendra Chaudhary attacked Sagar Kumar's head with an iron rod. Sagar attempted to defend himself, and the rod struck his neck, injuring him. The FIR also includes an accusation of snatching a gold chain during the incident. Ranjan Kumar, who intervened to mediate, was also reportedly assaulted.

Several family members sustained injuries in the incident and were taken to Akbarpur Hospital with the help of villagers. Geeta Devi was referred to Sadar Hospital Nawada for better treatment, where she is currently undergoing medical care. SHO Surendra Kumar confirmed that a thorough investigation into the matter is ongoing.
