Investigations revealed that the young man and woman featured in the video belong to the same community, contrary to communal rumors being spread by miscreants. These individuals were attempting to disrupt communal harmony by falsely claiming the couple belonged to different communities. Police have swiftly arrested two individuals who were involved in spreading these communal rumors by disseminating the video with a misleading narrative.

The Superintendent of Police (SP) stated that the police became active immediately after the video went viral and initiated an investigation into its authenticity with the help of the technical cell. The probe confirmed that both individuals in the video are adults and were together with mutual consent. Crucially, it was established that they belong to the same community, completely ruling out any communal angle to the incident.

The arrested individuals have been identified, and a case has been registered against them under the IT Act and other relevant sections. Police have warned that strict action will be taken against anyone found spreading misleading or communally divisive content on social media. The SP has also appealed to the public not to forward any unverified information or videos and to first ascertain their authenticity. This incident once again highlights the rapid spread of rumors on social media and their serious consequences.
