Residents of Warisaliganj Circle Office in Nawada district are expressing significant dissatisfaction with the functioning of the office since the new Circle Officer (CO), Julie Kumari, took charge. Local people allege that the CO's irregular attendance has severely impacted revenue-related tasks such as mutation, refinement, transfer of ownership, and land division.

According to reports, over 1500 cases have been pending since the transfer of the former CO, Rajesh Kumar, on June 23 and his release on July 7. While mutation work has slowly resumed due to increasing pressure from applicants, its pace remains unsatisfactory, causing considerable inconvenience to the public.

Engineer Chandradev, Upendra Singh, and other applicants from Makanpur village have accused the Circle Officer of not regularly attending the office. Complainants spend their entire day at the office, but their files are neither processed nor are their grievances heard. This situation is creating significant difficulties for farmers and landless individuals in land transactions, loan procedures, and other essential tasks.

Local residents have also raised concerns about the functioning of the Nazarat office. They claim that the problem is not limited to the Circle Office; employees in the Nazarat office are also failing to provide records, copies, and certificates on time. This is hampering the resolution of land disputes and preventing people from accessing benefits from various government schemes. Applicants further allege that the Circle Officer does not reside in the official accommodation within the office premises, commuting instead from Nawada, which is affecting the work culture of the office staff.

Local residents have urged the district administration and the District Magistrate to ensure the regular presence of the Circle Officer and expedite the disposal of all pending cases. In response, Circle Officer Julie Kumari has dismissed all allegations as baseless, stating that the Circle Office operates regularly and smoothly, and the accusations made by the public are unfounded.
