The Siddha Shaktipeeth Maa Kali Temple in Nayatola Khajraitha village, under Khajraitha Panchayat in Parbatta block of Khagaria district, is a significant center of faith in the region. Devotees hold immense faith in Maa Kali here, believing that all wishes made with a true heart are granted. Consequently, a large crowd of devotees gathers every year during Kali Puja, including pilgrims from Khagaria and surrounding districts, as well as distant areas, who come for darshan and worship.

Preparations for Kali Puja are in full swing at the temple premises. Sculptors are busy giving final touches to the grand idol of Maa Kali, and a three-day traditional fair held during the puja is also a major attraction. Balkrishna Chaudhary, manager of Maa Kali Puja Committee, Naya Tola Khajraitha, stated that the tradition of worshipping Maa Kali dates back several centuries. Hansu Thatheri of the village first started the puja, and since then, this tradition has been carried on with full devotion and sincerity through generations.

Initially, the Maa Kali temple was located in Lakshmipur village, but due to severe erosion by the Ganges river, the old temple was submerged. Subsequently, in 1957, the Maa Kali temple was re-established in Nayatola Khajraitha village. Since then, this temple has remained a prominent center of faith and belief for devotees in the region.

The temple's worship rituals also hold special religious significance. According to information from chief priests Dr. Pran Mohan Kumar, Manoj Kunwar, Malik Jha, Acharya Shambhunath Thakur, and villagers, the idol of Maa Kali will be formally installed on the Pindi late at night on November 8, coinciding with Amavasya. After this, the temple gates will be opened for devotees. A special Nisha Pujan will be performed after the Prana Pratishtha. The tradition of feeding unmarried girls and Brahmins during the puja at Maa Kali Temple has also been followed for years.
