In a significant development in Bihar politics, a demand to hand over the leadership of the state to Nishant Kumar, son of former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, is gaining momentum. This call was unanimously raised by workers and office-bearers during an important meeting of the Janata Dal (United) district executive in Sitamarhi.

Party leaders stated that the people of Bihar are now looking at Nishant Kumar as a beacon for the state's bright future. The demand emerged during the announcement of the new district executive committee, held at the district office after Satish Singh Kushwaha was elected as the district president for the third consecutive time. The newly formed committee includes 16 vice-presidents, one chief spokesperson, one treasurer, 39 general secretaries, 39 secretaries, and 6 executive committee members.

District President Kushwaha expressed gratitude to the party's national leadership and senior leaders for entrusting him with the district's command for the third time, describing it as a significant responsibility and a test of loyalty. He pledged to uphold the trust placed in him by national president Nitish Kumar, national working president Sanjay Jha, state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha, and MP Devesh Chandra Thakur, along with all MLAs and former public representatives.

Kushwaha assured workers that he would never let down the honor and trust given by the organization. He emphasized that expanding the organization, respecting workers, and disseminating Nitish Kumar's 20-year 'development with justice' model to every person would be his top priorities. The new district committee, approved by the state president, ensures proper representation for all sections of society, new faces, and experienced senior members. Prominent leaders present included District Vice President Dhirendra Kunwar, Headquarters In-charge and General Secretary Vijay Kumar Patel, and Sudesh Kumar Shahi.
