ARA: Former Bihar Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Nitish Kumar today visited the historic Bakhorapur Kali Temple located in Barhara block of Bhojpur district. He performed ritualistic prayers, seeking blessings from Maa Kali for the prosperity and progress of both the nation and Bihar.

Upon his arrival, Kumar was warmly welcomed by the temple trust. He was escorted directly to the sanctum sanctorum of the Maa Kali temple, where the JDU national president offered prayers and received blessings. Thousands of JDU and NDA workers were present to greet him.

The former Chief Minister arrived at the temple premises earlier than scheduled. Strict security arrangements were in place, with police personnel deployed at various points. Members of the temple committee and the temple trust, led by President BD Singh, submitted a memorandum to Kumar, requesting the organization of a Bakhorapur Mahotsav by the tourism department for the development of the Kali temple.

BD Singh, President of the Bakhorapur Trust, stated that Kumar's visit was a moment of pride for the entire district. He also mentioned that Nitish Kumar has a special affection for Bhojpur and visits the area periodically, expressing concern for the district's development. Bihar's Minister of Planning and Development, Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha, along with MLAs Radha Charan Shah (Sandesh) and Raghvendra Pratap Singh (Barhara), and several other NDA workers, were present on the occasion.
