In a significant crackdown, Muzaffarpur police have seized a large consignment of illegal foreign liquor in the Pakkisarae area. Acting on a tip-off, a special police team conducted a raid, leading to the recovery of numerous bottles of various brands of liquor. One alleged liquor smuggler was arrested during the operation. The seized liquor is estimated to be worth lakhs of rupees in the market.

Police sources indicate that the smuggler was planning to distribute the liquor in smaller packets. Interrogation of the arrested individual is underway to uncover the wider network and other individuals involved in this illicit trade. Authorities believe that this gang had been active in the area for a considerable period and was preparing to distribute a large quantity of liquor, especially in anticipation of upcoming festivals.

Senior police officials reiterated their commitment to continuing the crackdown on illegal liquor in prohibition-bound Bihar. They urged the public to report any information regarding such illicit activities to the police. This seizure and arrest are expected to significantly curb the illegal liquor trade in the region. An FIR has been registered, and further investigation is ongoing.
