The anti-encroachment drive in Paliganj sub-division of Patna district continued for the second consecutive day. A large number of illegal structures built on government land were demolished during the operation. A significant police force and officials from the Nagar Panchayat administration were present to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the drive, preventing any untoward incidents.

In various parts of the Paliganj Nagar Panchayat area, people had illegally occupied government land, causing traffic congestion and hindering urban development plans. The administration had previously issued notices to these encroachers, instructing them to voluntarily remove their encroachments. However, many ignored these directives, prompting the administration to resort to forceful demolition.

During the drive, JCB machines were used to remove shops, shanties, and other permanent and temporary structures. This action caused a stir among the local residents, though they could not offer significant resistance against the administration's strict stance. Nagar Panchayat officials stated that the drive would continue until all identified encroachments are removed and government land is completely freed.

The primary objective of this campaign is to streamline traffic flow in Paliganj, free public spaces from encroachment, and clear the way for future development projects. The administration has made it clear that any illegal occupation of government land will not be tolerated, and strict legal action will be taken against such encroachers.
