The newly constructed Parsama Degree College in Kishanganj district is set to be inaugurated on July 15. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will officially launch the significant educational institution via video conferencing. Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Amitabh Kumar Sinha personally inspected the site to oversee the preparations for the inauguration ceremony.

SDO Sinha emphasized that the opening of Parsama Degree College marks a major milestone that will enhance higher education opportunities in the region. He issued directives to ensure all necessary arrangements, including electricity, water, security, and proper seating, are in place for a smooth ceremony. Officials were also instructed to ensure adherence to social distancing and other COVID-19 protocols during the event, despite current relaxations, as a precautionary measure.

Accompanying the SDO were Block Development Officer (BDO) Omprakash, Circle Officer (CO) Ajay Kumar, Station House Officer (SHO) Rajiv Kumar, BPRO Anil Kumar, BEO Omprakash Yadav, and a junior engineer, among other officials. They collectively reviewed the preparations and understood their respective responsibilities.

This college is expected to fulfill a long-standing need for higher education among the local population, eliminating the necessity for students to travel to distant cities. It is poised to play a crucial role in the educational and social development of the area. Following the inauguration, admission processes for various courses are expected to commence, benefiting a large number of students.
