राकेश की पत्नी ने अपने पति की हत्या का आरोप उनकी एक महिला मित्र और उसके भाई पर लगाया है। उनका कहना है कि राकेश सोमवार को काम पर गए थे, लेकिन शाम तक घर नहीं लौटे। मंगलवार सुबह उनका शव फतेहपुर गांव के पास जलकुंभी से भरे एक गड्ढे में मिला। पत्नी के अनुसार, राकेश का उस महिला मित्र से पैसों को लेकर विवाद चल रहा था, और उसने पहले भी राकेश को जान से मारने की धमकी दी थी।
घटना की जानकारी मिलते ही स्थानीय पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची। पुलिस ने शव को अपने कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए नालंदा मेडिकल कॉलेज एवं अस्पताल (NMCH) भेज दिया है। पुलिस उपाधीक्षक (DSP) अमित शरण ने बताया कि पुलिस मामले की गंभीरता से जांच कर रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि पोस्टमार्टम रिपोर्ट आने के बाद ही मौत के सही कारणों का पता चल पाएगा। पुलिस ने मृतक की पत्नी के बयान के आधार पर महिला मित्र और उसके भाई के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज कर लिया है और उनकी तलाश जारी है। परिजनों ने जल्द से जल्द दोषियों को गिरफ्तार करने की मांग की है। इस घटना से स्थानीय लोगों में आक्रोश है और वे निष्पक्ष जांच की उम्मीद कर रहे हैं।
