Administrative preparations have intensified in Patna, the capital of Bihar, in view of the 'Increase Reservation, Save Constitution' movement. The 'Increase Reservation, Save Constitution Struggle Committee' has called for a gherao of Lok Bhawan starting from Gandhi Maidan, with members of Dalit, tribal, and backward communities expected to take to the streets. To prevent protestors from moving beyond Dakbangla Chauraha, the administration has, for the first time, installed barbed wire.

Dakbangla Chauraha has historically been a major barricading point during large demonstrations in Patna. The administration's objective is to prevent protestors from advancing past this intersection. In previous movements, clashes between protestors and the police have occurred in this area, often leading to the use of lathi-charge and water cannons.

However, concerns are being raised regarding the installation of barbed wire. There is apprehension that in a situation of surging crowds during a protest, such obstacles could lead to stampedes or injuries. Consequently, there is a demand for the administration to exercise caution in its security arrangements.

Patna's Dakbangla Chauraha has previously been a focal point for several major movements, including Tejashwi Yadav's Lok Bhawan march and student protests. With the call for the 'Increase Reservation, Save Constitution' movement, administrative preparations have been stepped up, and security at Dakbangla is considered crucial given the proposed march from Gandhi Maidan to Lok Bhawan.
