An unidentified body was discovered near the Son River in the Rampur Diyara area, under the Maner police station jurisdiction in Patna, on Saturday morning. The body bore severe head injuries and blood, leading to suspicions of murder.

According to reports, some youths were exercising near the Son Sota, beyond the Surya Mandir in Rampur Diyara, when they spotted the body. They immediately informed the local police. Maner police arrived at the scene and took custody of the body. Police noted that upon turning the body, blood was visible from the head, and soil was found on the body, suggesting a possible attack with a weapon. However, the exact cause of death will be confirmed after the post-mortem report.

The identity of the deceased remains unknown. Police have sent the body for post-mortem examination and have initiated an investigation. Given that the body was found in a secluded spot near the Son River, it is also suspected that the person might have been murdered elsewhere and their body dumped at this location. Police are considering the possibility that the body might have been brought from Saran or Bhojpur districts. Authorities are gathering information from surrounding areas to identify the deceased and ascertain the circumstances of the incident.
