In a significant joint operation, the Patna Police and Special Task Force (STF) have apprehended a notorious chain snatcher in Danapur. The accused had been absconding for the past three years and was involved in numerous chain snatching incidents across Patna and its surrounding areas. Law enforcement agencies had been actively searching for him.

Acting on a tip-off, a combined team of police and STF personnel conducted a raid in Danapur, leading to the successful capture of the criminal. Following his arrest, the accused is undergoing intensive interrogation, during which he has reportedly divulged crucial information regarding other criminal activities and his associates. Police anticipate that his arrest will aid in identifying and apprehending other members of the chain snatching gang, thereby curbing such incidents in the city.

According to police sources, the identity of the arrested individual has not yet been disclosed. However, some stolen goods and tools used in the crimes have been recovered from his possession. It is also reported that the accused has a prior criminal record, having been incarcerated multiple times and subsequently resuming his criminal activities after being released on bail. His arrest is considered a major success for the Patna Police, as chain snatching incidents have been a growing concern for the public. The police have also appealed to citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities immediately.
