Hariharganj: The PCC road connecting Siyarbhuka village from the NH-139 main road, which passes next to the Hariharganj Block premises, has been completely submerged in reservoir water. Around three to four feet of water has accumulated on the road, disrupting the movement of villagers. It has become difficult for people to pass through this route on foot, bikes, or other vehicles.

Villagers informed about this situation around 3 PM on Tuesday and alleged irregularities in the road construction. They stated that this PCC road, passing through the reservoir, was constructed last year. However, instead of raising the road, the contractor built the PCC in the low-lying, pitted area. As a result, with the onset of rain and the filling of the reservoir, the entire road got submerged.

According to the villagers, during the rainy season, three to four feet of water accumulates on the road, completely halting traffic for the residents of Siyarbhuka village. People say that the Nagar Panchayat had constructed this road with the objective of providing better commuting facilities to the villagers, but attention was not paid to the quality and elevation of the construction. This has defeated the very purpose of building the road.

Expressing their displeasure, villagers mentioned that this road passes right next to the Hariharganj Block-cum-Circle Office and the Nagar Panchayat Office. Despite this, no official has paid attention to this serious road problem so far. Villagers have alleged that there were irregularities in the construction work and demanded an investigation.
