Commuters in Phulwari Sharif are facing severe difficulties due to the dilapidated condition of several key roads. The road connecting Isapur to Dharaichak via Mission and extending to the Punpun security dam has been in a poor state for several months, riddled with large potholes. Local residents describe the situation as so bad that it's often hard to distinguish between a pothole in the road and a road in a pothole.

This crucial route, passing through the Punpun river's security dam, links Madhawapur, Hasanpura, Gonpura, Hinduni, Bahadurpur, and Isapur to Phulwari Sharif. Thousands of people, including daily wage earners, schoolchildren, teachers, and villagers, rely on this road for their daily commute. The area also hosts the ITBP headquarters, several B.Ed colleges, and other educational institutions, making the road essential for access. Dozens of villages, including Bahadurpur, Hinduni, Alampur, Gonpura, Nayanchak, Hasanpura, Madhavpur, Nihura, Dhanki, Sorampur, Dhibra, Shahpur, and Koyri Bigha, depend on this route.

Similarly, the approximately two-kilometer-long road from Isapur Raichowk to Kurkuri has been in disrepair for years. Residents state that no construction work has been undertaken on this stretch for a long time, leading to significant damage and numerous deep potholes.

During the rainy season, the condition of both roads deteriorates further. Water-filled potholes become difficult to gauge, increasing the risk for drivers. Accidents are a constant threat, especially at night.

Villagers have expressed their frustration over the long-awaited repairs for these vital link roads. They have urged the concerned department to undertake immediate repairs and permanent construction to alleviate the commuting problems faced by residents of numerous villages.
