A tragic incident occurred on Monday evening in the Raja Bigha area of Rafiganj town, Aurangabad district, Bihar. An 11-year-old girl, Riya Kumari, died on the spot after coming into contact with a broken electric wire lying on the road. The incident took place while Riya was out for a walk, approximately 500 meters from her home.

According to reports, Riya's foot accidentally touched a live, exposed electric wire that had fallen on the road. The electric current was so powerful that she died instantly at the scene. The deceased girl's father, Akhilesh Kumar Khatri, has been living in Rafiganj for about 10 years, working as a laborer in a rented house to support his family. The victim's family originally hails from TAC Basti Rangamari in the Chandrapura police station area of Bokaro district, Jharkhand. The sudden death of their young daughter has brought immense grief to the family.

Upon receiving the information, Rafiganj Station House Officer Shambhu Kumar, along with SIs Mithilesh Kumar and Umesh Kumar, immediately reached the spot with police forces. The police took custody of the body, completed the necessary paperwork, and sent it to the district headquarters, Aurangabad, for post-mortem examination. The police are currently investigating the matter further.
