The Rajauli Nagar Panchayat office in Nawada district is currently plagued by administrative negligence and arbitrary behavior from its employees. Officials and staff mark their attendance but then disappear from the office, leaving the general public, who come to avail government schemes and civic amenities, disappointed daily. Even between 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM, the main gate of the office remains locked. People coming from distant areas are forced to wait outside for hours.

Apart from the Nagar Swachhta Padadhikari (Urban Sanitation Officer), no other employee or official is present on time. Many employees mark their attendance and immediately leave the office, leading to an empty and silent environment. This negligence by the staff is causing distress to people seeking birth certificates, residential documents, and solutions to sanitation-related issues. Local residents Bablu Kumar and Deepak Kumar stated that they have been trying for several days to get their child's birth certificate but are unable to find the officials.

Frustrated with this system, villagers have demanded strict monitoring of biometric attendance and action against absent employees. They have warned of agitation if the situation does not improve.

When contacted, Nagar Panchayat Officer Atish Kumar explained that he was busy with a 'Disha' meeting in the morning, which is why he was not present in the office. Regarding the employees marking attendance and then leaving, he mentioned that a biometric system is in place, through which salaries are disbursed online via the Bihar government portal. However, he has taken the complaint of employees leaving after marking attendance seriously. He assured that he would have Nagar Swachhta Padadhikari Rahul Kumar investigate the matter and review CCTV footage. Atish Kumar stated that necessary steps would be taken after the investigation.
