Significant administrative changes have occurred in the Dhamdaha block of Purnea district. Rakesh Kumar Thakur has been appointed as the new Block Development Officer (BDO) for Dhamdaha. He officially assumed his charge on Wednesday. Previously, Prakash Kumar, who served as the BDO of Dhamdaha, has been transferred to the Sameli block.

Upon taking charge, Rakesh Kumar Thakur outlined his priorities. He stated that his primary focus would be on ensuring the full implementation of all government-sponsored development schemes at the grassroots level. Additionally, he is committed to maintaining peace and order within the block and ensuring that the benefits of public welfare schemes reach the common populace. He emphasized that he would work in coordination with all departments to accelerate development initiatives.

During his tenure in Dhamdaha, Prakash Kumar undertook several important projects. Following his transfer, local residents and block staff bid him farewell and extended their best wishes for his new posting. He is also expected to accelerate development work in Sameli.

With the arrival of the new BDO in Dhamdaha, there is anticipation that development activities will receive renewed impetus. Rakesh Kumar Thakur has appealed for cooperation from all stakeholders to advance the block on the path of progress. He assured that he would always be available to listen to public grievances and ensure their prompt resolution.
