ग्रामीणों के अनुसार, रेड विगहा स्थित बिजली ट्रांसफॉर्मर से बुधवार को अचानक धुंआ निकलने लगा। इस घटना से पूरे गाँव में अफरा-तफरी मच गई। लोगों को डर था कि कहीं ट्रांसफॉर्मर में आग न लग जाए या कोई बड़ा शॉर्ट-सर्किट न हो जाए, जिससे जान-माल का नुकसान हो सकता है। ग्रामीणों ने तुरंत इसकी सूचना बिजली विभाग को दी, लेकिन आरोप है कि शिकायत के बावजूद विभाग ने कोई त्वरित कार्रवाई नहीं की।
एक स्थानीय ग्रामीण ने बताया, “यह कोई पहली बार नहीं है जब इस ट्रांसफॉर्मर में ऐसी समस्या आई है। पहले भी कई बार इसमें खराबी आ चुकी है और हम इसकी शिकायत बिजली विभाग से कर चुके हैं। लेकिन विभाग हमेशा हमारी शिकायतों को अनसुना कर देता है।” ग्रामीणों का कहना है कि जर्जर ट्रांसफॉर्मर और ढीले तारों की वजह से अक्सर बिजली आपूर्ति बाधित होती रहती है और दुर्घटनाओं का खतरा बना रहता है।
ग्रामीणों ने बिजली विभाग पर गंभीर आरोप लगाते हुए कहा कि विभाग उनकी सुरक्षा के प्रति बिल्कुल भी गंभीर नहीं है। उनका कहना है कि अगर समय रहते ट्रांसफॉर्मर की मरम्मत या उसे बदला नहीं गया, तो कभी भी कोई बड़ा हादसा हो सकता है, जिसके लिए पूरी तरह से बिजली विभाग जिम्मेदार होगा। ग्रामीणों ने जिला प्रशासन और बिजली विभाग के उच्चाधिकारियों से इस मामले में तत्काल हस्तक्षेप करने और जर्जर ट्रांसफॉर्मर को बदलने की मांग की है, ताकि भविष्य में किसी भी अप्रिय घटना से बचा जा सके और उन्हें निर्बाध बिजली आपूर्ति मिल सके।
