सिविल सर्जन (सीएस) ने हाल ही में महिलाओं के स्वास्थ्य अधिकारों पर जोर देते हुए कहा कि सम्मानजनक स्वास्थ्य सेवाएं प्राप्त करना हर महिला का मौलिक अधिकार है। उन्होंने इस बात पर प्रकाश डाला कि गुणवत्तापूर्ण स्वास्थ्य देखभाल तक पहुंच न केवल शारीरिक बल्कि मानसिक और सामाजिक कल्याण के लिए भी आवश्यक है। सीएस ने बताया कि महिलाओं को अक्सर स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं तक पहुंचने में कई बाधाओं का सामना करना पड़ता है, जिनमें सामाजिक-सांस्कृतिक मानदंड, आर्थिक बाधाएं और भौगोलिक पहुंच की कमी शामिल है।
उन्होंने कहा कि इन बाधाओं को दूर करना और यह सुनिश्चित करना हमारी सामूहिक जिम्मेदारी है कि प्रत्येक महिला को बिना किसी भेदभाव के सम्मानजनक और संवेदनशील स्वास्थ्य सेवाएं मिलें। इसमें प्रसव पूर्व और प्रसवोत्तर देखभाल, परिवार नियोजन, प्रजनन स्वास्थ्य सेवाएं, और कैंसर जैसी बीमारियों की जांच और उपचार शामिल हैं। सीएस ने स्वास्थ्य कर्मियों से आग्रह किया कि वे महिलाओं के प्रति अधिक संवेदनशील और सहानुभूतिपूर्ण दृष्टिकोण अपनाएं, यह सुनिश्चित करते हुए कि उनकी गोपनीयता और गरिमा हर समय बनी रहे।
उन्होंने आगे कहा कि स्वास्थ्य सुविधाओं को महिलाओं के अनुकूल बनाया जाना चाहिए, जहां वे बिना किसी झिझक के अपनी स्वास्थ्य संबंधी चिंताओं को साझा कर सकें। इसमें प्रशिक्षित महिला स्वास्थ्य कर्मियों की उपलब्धता और एक सुरक्षित तथा स्वच्छ वातावरण प्रदान करना शामिल है। सीएस ने समुदाय आधारित पहलों और जागरूकता कार्यक्रमों के महत्व पर भी जोर दिया, जो महिलाओं को उनके स्वास्थ्य अधिकारों के बारे में शिक्षित कर सकें और उन्हें समय पर चिकित्सा सहायता लेने के लिए प्रोत्साहित कर सकें। उन्होंने सभी हितधारकों, विशेषकर सामुदायिक नेताओं और परिवारों से आग्रह किया कि वे महिलाओं के स्वास्थ्य को प्राथमिकता देने और उन्हें सशक्त बनाने में अपनी भूमिका निभाएं।
The Civil Surgeon (CS) recently emphasized that respectful healthcare services are a fundamental right for every woman, crucial not only for physical but also for mental and social well-being. The CS highlighted that women often face multiple barriers in accessing healthcare, including socio-cultural norms, economic constraints, and lack of geographical access.
It was stressed that it is a collective responsibility to overcome these obstacles and ensure that every woman receives respectful and sensitive health services without discrimination. This includes antenatal and postnatal care, family planning, reproductive health services, and screening and treatment for diseases like cancer. The CS urged health workers to adopt a more sensitive and empathetic approach towards women, ensuring their privacy and dignity are maintained at all times.
Furthermore, health facilities should be made women-friendly, providing a safe and clean environment where women can share their health concerns without hesitation. The importance of community-based initiatives and awareness programs to educate women about their health rights and encourage them to seek timely medical help was also emphasized. The CS called upon all stakeholders, particularly community leaders and families, to play their role in prioritizing and empowering women's health.
