Rohtas: The violent unrest following the high-profile Chandeshwar Chaudhary murder case in Rohtas, Bihar, has sparked a new controversy. After incidents of arson and vandalism at the home of the accused, Ajit Tiwari, a large number of his supporters and well-wishers arrived at Jogia village in Dinara police station area from Buxar and Bhojpur.

Upon reaching Jogia, supporters inspected the site where, allegedly, four tractors, a harvester, a car, and several bikes were set ablaze. During this, some youths chanted slogans like 'Ranvir Sena Amar Rahe' (Long Live Ranvir Sena) and 'Brahmeshwar Mukhia Amar Rahe' (Long Live Brahmeshwar Mukhia), heard publicly after decades. These slogans have intensified political and social discussions in the area.

Notably, on August 5, labor worker Chandeshwar Chaudhary was murdered in Jogia village. Ajit Tiwari was accused of the murder, later arrested from Ghazipur, and the victim's body was recovered from a canal. Heavy police forces have been deployed in the area since the incident.

Ajit Tiwari's supporters condemned the arson and vandalism at his home. Social activist Monu Singh from Bhojpur called the incident unfortunate, stating that the alleged looting, vehicle burning, and destruction of the house by rioters in the presence of the police were deplorable. He warned of an agitation if action is not taken against the rioters by August 16. Monu Singh also accused Tejashwi Yadav of 'dirty politics' and asserted that Ranvir Sena would retaliate if anyone makes a mistake.

The case now raises two major questions: legal action against Chandeshwar Chaudhary's murder and action against those involved in the post-murder riots, arson, vandalism, and alleged looting. While the victim's family demands justice, the accused's supporters demand action against those responsible for the arson. Slogans in support of the banned organization Ranvir Sena are further sensitizing the matter, posing a significant challenge for the police administration.
