The Rural Works Department (RWD) Arrah has commenced filling potholes on the dilapidated road in Agiaon Bazaar, located in Piro block, Bhojpur district. This action follows continuous accidents caused by the poor road condition and persistent demands from local public representatives.

Deep potholes had formed on the road in Agiaon Bazaar, particularly in front of Vishwakarma Sah's house, leading to frequent incidents of trucks getting stuck and auto-rickshaws overturning. Mukhiya Sunita Devi and Mukhiya representative Ram Babu Chandravanshi stated that the poor state of the road was causing significant inconvenience to the residents. Local representatives had urged the RWD Arrah Junior Engineer (JE) for immediate repairs, warning of public protests if work did not commence promptly. This issue had also been highlighted multiple times in local newspapers.

Responding to the demands, the RWD Arrah JE took swift action. Two tractors of gravel and debris were dispatched to the site, and a major pothole was filled. Assurance was given that the remaining potholes would be addressed the following day. The JE also informed that approximately 500 meters of the road in Agiaon Bazaar would undergo PCC (Plain Cement Concrete) slab work. Additionally, drain construction will be carried out throughout the market. The JE clarified that the PCC road and drain construction work is currently in the tender process and will begin soon. This initiative has brought hope to the local residents for an early resolution to the long-standing issue of the deteriorated road.
