सहरसा जिले में परिवार नियोजन को बढ़ावा देने और लोगों को इसके महत्व के प्रति जागरूक करने के उद्देश्य से परिवार नियोजन पखवाड़ा का शुभारंभ हो गया है। यह विशेष अभियान 31 जुलाई तक चलेगा, जिसके तहत जिलेभर में योग्य दंपतियों को मुफ्त परिवार नियोजन सेवाएं और परामर्श प्रदान किए जाएंगे। स्वास्थ्य विभाग ने इस पखवाड़े के दौरान अधिक से अधिक लोगों तक पहुंचने की योजना बनाई है, खासकर ग्रामीण और दूरदराज के इलाकों में।
इस अभियान के तहत स्वास्थ्यकर्मी घर-घर जाकर योग्य दंपतियों की पहचान करेंगे और उन्हें परिवार नियोजन के विभिन्न तरीकों जैसे नसबंदी, गर्भनिरोधक गोलियां, कंडोम आदि के बारे में विस्तृत जानकारी देंगे। साथ ही, इन सेवाओं को अपनाने के लिए प्रेरित भी करेंगे। विशेषकर महिलाओं के लिए नसबंदी और पुरुषों के लिए नसबंदी (एनएसवी) पर जोर दिया जाएगा, जो परिवार नियोजन के स्थायी तरीके हैं। स्वास्थ्य शिविरों का आयोजन भी किया जाएगा जहां लोग बिना किसी शुल्क के इन सेवाओं का लाभ उठा सकेंगे।
सिविल सर्जन ने बताया कि परिवार नियोजन न केवल जनसंख्या नियंत्रण के लिए महत्वपूर्ण है, बल्कि यह मां और बच्चे के स्वास्थ्य के लिए भी अत्यंत आवश्यक है। दो बच्चों के बीच उचित अंतराल रखने से मां का स्वास्थ्य बेहतर रहता है और बच्चे को भी पूर्ण पोषण व देखभाल मिल पाती है। उन्होंने सभी स्वास्थ्यकर्मियों को निर्देश दिए हैं कि वे इस पखवाड़े को सफल बनाने के लिए पूरी निष्ठा और समर्पण के साथ काम करें। आशा कार्यकर्ताएं और आंगनबाड़ी सेविकाएं भी इस अभियान में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाएंगी, जो जमीनी स्तर पर लोगों तक पहुंचेंगी और उन्हें जागरूक करेंगी। इस पहल से सहरसा जिले में परिवार नियोजन की दर में वृद्धि होने और मातृ-शिशु स्वास्थ्य में सुधार आने की उम्मीद है।
A family planning fortnight has commenced in Saharsa district, Bihar, aiming to promote family planning and raise awareness about its importance among the populace. This special campaign will run until July 31, offering free family planning services and counseling to eligible couples across the district. The health department plans to reach a large number of people during this fortnight, particularly in rural and remote areas.

Maintaining proper spacing between children improves maternal health and ensures adequate nutrition and care for the child. All healthcare workers, ASHA workers, and Anganwadi sevikas have been instructed to work diligently to make this fortnight a success, reaching out to people at the grassroots level. This initiative is expected to increase the family planning adoption rate and improve maternal and child health in Saharsa district.
