A 12-year-old boy, Sanchit Kumar, drowned in a deep ditch filled with floodwaters in Pachlakh Deeh village, falling under the Parsa police station area of Saran district. Sanchit was the son of Raghu Rai, a resident of the same village. The tragic incident has plunged his family into deep mourning and spread a wave of sorrow across the village.

According to information received, Sanchit Kumar was walking towards a field behind his house. The area is currently inundated with floodwaters, causing significant difficulties for commuters due to waterlogging on roads. While walking, Sanchit slipped on the wet road and fell into a deep ditch located at the roadside, which was filled with floodwaters. Due to the depth of the ditch, he drowned.

Eyewitnesses raised an alarm upon seeing the boy fall, leading to a chaotic scene. With the help of local residents, Sanchit was pulled out of the ditch and rushed to the Community Health Center, Parsa, for treatment. However, Dr. Suman Kumar, the medical in-charge, declared him dead after examination. This news devastated his family.

Upon hearing of Sanchit's death, his home was filled with cries of grief. His father Raghu Rai, mother Sunita Devi, and sister Khushi Kumari were inconsolable. The untimely death of the 12-year-old, a Class VI student at Utkramit Madhya Vidyalaya, Pachlakh Deeh, has left his family in profound shock. The Parsa police station has taken custody of the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital, Chhapra, for post-mortem.

The widespread floodwaters and waterlogging on roads have increased the risk of accidents in the region. Deep ditches along the roads, now filled with water, make it difficult to gauge their depth. Sanchit Kumar's death highlights the urgent need for safety measures and caution in flood-affected areas.
