The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has conducted another major operation in Parsa Nagar Panchayat, Saran district. A special NIA team from Delhi and Patna, accompanied by a large police force, raided the residence of Chief Councilor Ayesha Khatoon. During the approximately four-hour search, all entry and exit points to the house were sealed, and family members were interrogated. After completing the operation, the team took the Chief Councilor's son and Ward Councilor, Mohd. Karamullah Ansari, with them to Patna. However, local police have not officially confirmed the action.

According to sources, the NIA team arrived in Parsa with a significant number of police personnel, some in plain clothes, to conduct the search. The intensive search inside the house lasted for about four hours, during which all routes were sealed, and family members were questioned. After the search, the NIA team departed for Patna with Karamullah Ansari. Local police officials have not yet issued any official statement regarding the NIA's action, with several denying knowledge of the incident.

Local residents and sources suggest that the NIA's operation is linked to a case involving the recovery of advanced weapons, AK-47 parts, foreign funding, and suspicious activities. It is rumored that the case might be connected to a previously unearthed weapons network in Muzaffarpur and international arms trafficking. However, these allegations have not been officially confirmed, and the NIA has not released detailed information about the raid or Karamullah Ansari's detention.

Notably, a five-member NIA team had previously raided the same residence on December 18, 2024, in an operation that lasted 10-12 hours, with the Rapid Action Force (RAF) also deployed. During that time, documents, mobile phones, laptops, and other digital devices were examined. Sources claim that Karamullah Ansari's name has previously surfaced in arms trafficking cases, and he has reportedly served jail time. During the tenure of then Saran DIG Manu Maharaj, the same family's residence was also raided in connection with allegations of inviting foreign nationals, possessing illegal weapons, and suspicious foreign currency transactions. The continuous NIA actions have intensified activity in the Parsa area and sparked discussions in political circles.
