September is a month packed with festivals, leading to several announced school holidays in government schools across Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh. The month began with a holiday for Janmashtami. Now, on September 14, all government schools in these three states will remain closed on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi and Hartalika Teej.

In Bihar, apart from Ganesh Chaturthi and Hartalika Teej on September 14, schools will also be closed for two other major festivals: Vishwakarma Puja on September 17 and Anant Chaturdashi on September 25.

Government schools in Jharkhand will have three additional non-Sunday holidays in the latter half of September. Schools will be closed on September 17 for Vishwakarma Puja, and on September 22 and 23 for Karma Puja (Phool Khonsi).

Uttar Pradesh government schools will also observe holidays on September 17 for Vishwakarma Puja and on September 25 for Anant Chaturdashi. This list is based on the official calendars issued by the respective state governments. However, it is advised to follow instructions issued by local district administration or school management for any final changes or special holidays.
