MP Sudama Prasad organized a public dialogue program in Shahpur on Friday, where he listened to the grievances of the local populace. Held in a private building opposite the block premises, the event received over 65 applications addressing various issues, including electricity, ration cards, and social security pensions.

During his visit to Shahpur for the public dialogue, MP Sudama Prasad also met with displaced families from Jawainiya who are being resettled under the rehabilitation township scheme in Bilaunti. The displaced families presented their problems to the MP, which included not receiving the full amount of housing scheme funds, some families not being issued land deeds, and difficulties due to disrupted electricity supply in the evenings. The MP expressed dissatisfaction with the negligence in the ongoing work at Bilaunti and instructed immediate action to resolve the waterlogging issue.

The MP also voiced his concern over the encroachment notices served to 9 poor families in Ward No. 1 of Shahpur Nagar Panchayat area, stating that the government and local administration should first arrange housing for them. He criticized the current government on various issues and demanded an investigation into the anti-erosion work underway in Jawainiya.

Following the program, the MP announced that all complaints received during the public dialogue would be promptly addressed, and concerned officials would be directed to find solutions. The event was attended by CPI(ML) Assembly in-charge Harendra Singh, City Secretary Baiju Kushwaha, Sarna Mukhiya Birbal Singh, RJD Block President Shivprasann Yadav, Rakesh Yadav, Uttam Paswan, and other dignitaries.
